The Maclean Hotel is a Heritage Listed Building and she deserves to be. Just one look at the rear of the hotel that faces the Clarence River makes you feel like you have stepped back in time. This Jetty would have been a very busy thoroughfare with all of the River-Boats cargo and the surrounding countryside’s produce being loaded and unloaded right at the back door of the Hotel. Maclean's old Wharf and Jetty was positioned at the rear of the Hotel. This is the perfect spot to sit and have a cold beer while watching the river flow by. The Hotel was originally built in 1863 and re-built in its current form in 1905. She is perfectly positioned on the bank of the Clarence River. (more).
