What you should know about Pops Place
Pop's place is a self-contained, fully equipped, self-catering cabin set in a secluded little valley on 150 acres of open paddocks and bushland crossed by small rainforest creeks. There is also a double bed and two single beds in the sleep out. Linen is provided for both. Native fauna includes wallabies, electric hot water, sometimes koalas and an elusive platypus in the dam.the cabin itself provides gas and wood stove, potaroos, en-suite shower and septic toilet. Adjacent to the state forest with bluegums, wood ducks, parrots, honeyeaters, there is abundant birdlife including lyrebirds, brushbox and remnants of a rainforest, tallowoods, whipbirds and bellbirds. There is no television but a telephone is available for long leases.from pop's place it's a one and a half hour scenic drive to armidale taking in point lookout and the trout hatchery, ebor and wollomombi falls.
